Chany Rosen is the founder and CEO of Cavalry Associates, a full-service design and expediting firm that specializes in managing construction projects of any size throughout New York City. The in-house team of architects, engineers and expeditors work with clients every step of the way, from concept to completion. Under Chany’s leadership and guidance, Cavalry Associates has become a leader in the industry and is known for their relentless approach to obtaining approvals and permits, as well as their unique ability to navigate the complexities of City agencies, including the Department of Buildings, Department of Finance and the Environmental Control Board.
Growing up in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, the only daughter of a prominent community leader, with nine brothers, Chany learned early how to speak up and how to compete. She carried that fierceness and competitiveness with her throughout childhood and into her career. Chany spent a few years as a teacher, before ultimately finding her passion in the property management industry.
Chany spent two and half years at EF Properties, learning the ins and outs of the real estate business. From going to housing court, bidding on foreclosed homes, to overseeing renovation projects, Chany discovered that she had the unique ability to quickly understand the full scope of projects, identify any challenges and come up with creative and unique solutions.
In 2015, Chany joined forces with her brother, Yoel Bochner, who was also in the property management industry, and Cavalry Associates was created. Since its inception, Cavalry Associates has been providing their exceptional services to property owners, developers, and other building professionals.
Chany’s remarkable multitasking and leadership skills are constantly on display – not only managing the continued growth and success of Cavalry Associates, but also at home, where she is a mother to five daughters. Chany is extremely passionate about maintaining her work/ home balance. Chany’s days are anything, but typical. Often times, she can be found in her home office by 4 AM. After several hours of work, Chany has breakfast with the family and gets the girls ready for school. From there, it’s off to the office or to a meeting at a city agency or a project site visit. No matter where the day takes Chany, she is home by 5 PM to welcome the kids back from school, have dinner, help with homework and get everyone to bed.
